About Me

My passion for maps began when I was a geology student and was challenged to use maps to infer and derive new information, information that was never contained in the original. Maps became a sandbox for ideas, a tool of interpretation, an image of knowledge. They are one of the densest stores of information accesible to us humans. They can also be beautiful. It is a rare thing to behold something so aesthetic and intriguing yet scientific, geometric, and rich in information.
